OUR STORY
In 1959, Lynn Lanier started Lanier Plumbing. Back then, it was a company based out of his house with his wife Laverne “Blondie” Lanier working as a secretary. In 1971, after graduating from LaGrange High School, Lynn’s son Rick immediately went to work in the plumbing business.

Rick recalls, “Mom would take the calls and set up where we went for the day. Me and dad would leave in the morning and meet our guys at a local supply house and then order material and leave from there. We went our different ways depending on what we had to do.” Four years after graduation, Rick took over the family business.

In 2025, after 50 years of serving the surrounding community and leading a thriving business, Rick Lanier retired. Matt Evers, having invested 30 years of his life as an apprentice, journeymen, and superintendent at Lanier Plumbing assumed responsibility for the business and the legacy passed on by the Lanier family.
With almost 70 years of plumbing experience, Lanier Plumbing specializes in residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing repairs. Lanier Plumbing offers their customers true and honest troubleshooting to resolve even the most challenging plumbing issue. “Doing a job right the first time gives our customers confidence that they can trust us with all of their plumbing needs.”
MATT EVERS

As a young man Matt jumped at the opportunity to have a craft that could provide for his family. He started out in 1995 as a laborer, worked his way up, and almost 30 years later has been known as one of the most respected plumbing superintendents in the area before assuming responsibility for the company after Rick Lanier's retirement in 2025. When asked what he enjoys most about the plumbing industry, the list just kept going. "I really enjoy tough diagnostic work and the opportunity to solve a problem. But designing and planning un-engineered projects also comes really naturally to me. "

The greatest compliment to Matt's leadership though, is what his plumbers say about who he is and how he leads. "He understands his responsibility as a leader. He's a fair leader and he listens to what we have to say. It's never him against his men."

He may come across as cut and dry, but with all his years of experience, you can't help but learn from his expertise. "He is always teaching and he's always going to do the job right and not cut corners."
​
What his crew says is no surprise because what he really enjoys most is employing and supporting plumbers. The service and leadership he brings, has resulted in one of the best plumbing crews in this region.
